Wrapping it up- Weight Loss

The first half of this blog was dedicated to teaching the lay person how to lose weight THE RIGHT WAY by burning fat, instead of muscle. Below are key points to remember:

-75% of your results (how you look, how you feel, athletic performance) come from what you EAT!
-To make your workouts effective, you must eat 5-6 small meals a day consisting of Complex Carbohydrates with a low Glycemic Index, LEAN protein, and healthy fats.
-To have an effective workout regimen, combine lifting free weights for 15-20 minutes followed directly by a high intensity cardiovascular workout for 10-15 minutes. Do this 2-4 days a week.
-Finally, to make all these work for your best possible results you ABSOLUTELY MUST be hydrated properly (preferably 8 glasses of water a day) and you absolutely MUST get at least 8 HOURS OF SLEEP PER NIGHT!. NOTE: This is the most important step followed very closely by having a healthy, nutrient dense diet.

There you have it. In my opinion, which is based on my research and personal experiences, following these 4 steps is THE BEST way to lose weight from your body's fat stores.
